Jason Rathbun

Coach Rathbun, known as "Coach Razz," took over Bonnies Baseball in 2023 after more than a decade and a half building Herkimer County Community College into one of the most consistent junior college programs in the country. His teams won over 75 percent of their games and reached the NJCAA World Series eight times.

The 2022 title was the first junior college national championship for any team from New York State, and it earned him national tournament Coach of the Year honors.

At St. Bonaventure, the results have followed. The Bonnies have increased their win total three years in a row, earned multiple Atlantic 10 All-Conference selections, and produced the program's highest MLB Draft pick ever, a fourth-round selection by the San Diego Padres in 2025.

A Central New York native, he served three years in the U.S. Army before playing at Herkimer and Erskine College. He and his wife Melissa have three children.
